Wa’d Abu Zurayk

Wa's Abu-Zurayk is the founder and manager of Ujeed- Child Development Consultations, where she is as an Occupational Therapist and a Neurotherapist. Studying at UK universities equipped Wa'd with skills she believes were unlikely to be obtained elsewhere. She studied at the University of Birmingham: MSc in Intellectual (Learning) Disability Studies and King's College London: Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Neuroscience. 

 

Abedalrahman Ali Alzghoul

Business and Innovation Award
University of Sunderland

Abedalrahman is founder of Bread for Education and Recycling for Education Organization. He is an expert in Community Mobilization, Social Innovation, and Enterprise. He received his master’s degree in Business Administration (Enterprise & Innovation) from University of Sunderland, United Kingdom. Abedalrahman is considered as a youth activist in environmental issues, education, innovation and entrepreneurship.

 

Aziz Sajdi

Business and Innovation Award
University of Exeter

Aziz Sajdi is an engineering professional specialising in innovation, entrepreneurship and management, he joined the family business and started multiple projects within the engineering field. In 2016 he received an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College Business School in London and in 2014 received a BEng in Civil Engineering from University of Exeter in United Kingdom.

 

 

Esraa Tarawneh

Science and Sustainability Award
University of Liverpool

Esraa Tarawneh is an Assistant Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Mutah University. She has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s in Water and Environmental Engineering, both from Mutah University and Ph.D. in Water and Environmental Engineering from Liverpool University. Her MSc and PhD thesis focused on pressing water and environmental issues in Jordan

Hussam Hussein

Science and Sustainability Award

Dr Hussam is the Executive Director for Partnerships at the Royal Scientific Society, developing the Centre for Science Diplomacy, building bridges between science and policies in Jordan and across countries, promoting interdisciplinary and impact research to tackle complex issues such as water scarcity.  He received his PhD from University of East Angelia (UEA) in United Kingdom. 

 

Muhanad Hatamleh

Muhanad Hatamleh is the Vice-dean of Luminus Technical University College and Consultant Clinical Scientist specialized in reconstructing missing facial parts. He received his Ph.D. from School of Dentistry, University of Manchester and MPhil from the School of Dentistry, University of Manchester, Manchester UK 

 

Ayman Abu Shomar

Culture and Creativity Award

Ayman Abu-Shomar (PhD) is Associate Professor of English Literature and Cultural Studies in The University of Jordan/ Aqaba. His principal research interests are English literature, cultural studies, contemporary literary theories, post-colonialism, diaspora, and dialogism. Ayman has received a PhD in English from University of Exeter, and MPhil in Philosophy of Arts from University of Exeter, United Kingdom. 

 

Hind Joucka

Culture and Creativity Award

Hind Joucka is the founder of Artmejo, an online platform for artists and art enthusiasts that promotes and covers the art scene in Jordan and the region. She merges her love for writing with her appreciation for art. She obtained her master’s in arts & Culture Management from Rome Business School. She studied Journalism at Kingston University, London and graduated with honors.

 

Leen Aghabi

Social Action Award
London School of Economics and Political Science, The (LSE)
Leen holds a master’s degree in International Relations, with Merit, from the London School of Economics, which she completed as a Saïd Foundation scholar. Currently, she serves as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund, where she is working to support Jordan, including in navigating its Extended Fund Facility-supported economic reforms. 

Dana Darwish

Social Action Award

Dana Darwish has a master’s in business administration from University of Sunderland. Dana has a multidimensional career, a radio host on the number one English radio station in Jordan, hosting a prime-time show focusing on youth and local talent, while leading the PR and communication component of Jordan Source Program by The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the World Bank, and running a mental health initiative named Choose Kind
