Arts in the Digital Age is a research report that aims to explore how digital technology can affect and promote artistic creative practice and production in Jordan; its role in developing more diverse audiences, and in return, how the cultural and artistic sector can unleash the creative side of the technology industry. The research has been commissioned by the British Council in Jordan and delivered by artmejo. 

Through conversations with key stakeholders in the culture sector namely visual arts, music, performance arts, architecture, design and photography, the report aims to present the following: 

  1. Establish an understanding of the creative industries in Jordan and modes of its merging of digital technologies within its practices, programming, curation and dissemination. 
  2. Identify the key challenges and needs that are currently facing the sector when employing digital technologies. 
  3. Establish opportunities for growth led by the British Council in Jordan in addition to actions that can be proposed and implemented jointly with a range of stakeholders.

The report is based on a research commissioned by the British Council and delivered by artmejo in 2021/22.
