IELTS Examiners
The Freelance Examiner will be responsible for carrying out assessments for the IELTS Speaking module, including second marking where necessary and maintaining the standards required by the IELTS Professional Support Network (PSN) and the British Council.
This role requires frequent travel to test Centres across Jordan. Candidates holding International Passports that are willing to apply but should have the right to live and work in Jordan.

Role overview
To carry out assessments for the IELTS Speaking module, maintaining the standards required by the IELTS Professional Support Network (PSN) and the British Council.
We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS Speaking Examiners.

You will need:
An undergraduate or Master’s degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree.
A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or recognised equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.
At least 3 years’ full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching.
Experience (minimum one year post-certificate level qualification).
The majority of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over).
The required professional attributes and interpersonal skills.
English Proficiency equivalent to IELTS Band 9
Speaking and a minimum of IELTS Band 8, Reading, Writing and Listening.

Kindly note that applicants need to have Jordanian Nationality or if International to have the right to live and work in Jordan, and fill the Examiner Application Form.

Successful candidates will be paid a rate of JOD 9.5 per Interview on the Speaking part of IELTS exam which will be conducted throughout the week. Examiners can work on weekends and/or weekdays according to their availability and our need.

Short-listing can take up to two-weeks to be completed.
